Ganesha Protects Our World from Destruction

One of the Birthday Celebration rituals is being held at the temple where Ganesha Saved the World from Pralaya. (Pralaya - a period of dissolution or destruction of the manifested universe.) He takes on the negative karma of the world as well as from individuals.

On Ganesha’s Birthday, he gets a special once a year, honey bath. This anointing/hydration ritual/abhishekam is performed all through the night. During the abhishekam, all the honey that is being poured on the Ganesha statue is drawn into the statue!

Re-Set Your Soul Sounds

This year Ganesha’s Birthday ends with a unique astrological event; when Vishaka birth-star makes its entrance. This creates a powerful 1 Hour and 46 Minute window to Re-Set Your Soul Sounds.

Ancient Scientists knew the universe was made of sound, which today’s String Theory physicists have recently re-discovered. Everything in the universe is created from sound waves. When you re-tune Sounds you re-harmonize with the Universe. During this special Soul Sound Re-Set time it is possible to rejuvenate the cells of your body and the world environment. Anything that has been harmed by negative sounds can be recalibrated to its original pristine sound.

Lord Ganesha or Vighneshwara is the overlord of Ketu, the South Node of the Moon and the ruler of Obstacles of material and spiritual order. This divine elephant-headed being has been granted a special siddha that permits him to see the negative/evil influences that are going to arise and to intervene and prevent those influences from taking effect. He could be considered as the most endearing form of all Hindu deities and His birthday; Ganesha Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi falls on the 4th day of the bright fortnight of Bhadrapada. This year it falls on September 19th.

Significance of Ganesha Chaturthi

On the day of Ganesha Chaturthi, people worship the Ashtavinayakas referred to the eight embodiments of Lord Ganesha that abolished the negative powers of the evil elements that existed in this planet. The belief that adds the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi is that "Lord Ganesha always comes to abolish the negative forms in every period and every age".

Significance of Ganesh Chaturthi lies in the way in which people attach themselves with all their devotion and faith to the care and pampering of the all-embracing Lord Ganesha or Lord Vinayaka. It is believed that He remains on the earth plane on Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi to bestow His presence on all his devotees.

Ganesha Is Here For Us!

Lord Ganesha is considered as an accessible God who is very special to humans. Being a secondary God not elevated to the highest level like Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu, He is very close to the human beings. The advantage is that the Elephant God understands human problems better than the High Gods like Shiva and Vishnu. He sees potential blocks or obstacles way ahead of us and can clear them out of the way before they create problems. He is truly the "God of the People"!

Ganesha Purana considers Lord Ganesha to be one of the unrefined forms of the ultimate Brahman. One can find His shrine immediately after the entrance in any temple complex. This symbolizes His importance as a guard or protector.

Humans can relate to Him so easily and get their desires fulfilled. He rules over the Muladhara Chakra, the lowest or primal energy centre in Human body that controls our sense of stability and security in this life. Lord Ganesha, being closest to the material plane of consciousness, is the most capable to assist us in our day-to- day life concerns. He helps us to get our footing, stand our ground and find our strengths. He is easily contactable and is called Kshipra prasadhi - one who blesses instantly.

Various Incarnations of Lord Ganesha

The Kridakhanda of the Ganesha Puranas narrates the stories of four incarnation of Ganesha in the four different Yugas.

  • In Krita yuga He was born to Sage Kashyap and his wife Aditi. He had ten arms and had a red complexion and mounted an elephant or a lion. He was called by name Mahotkata Vinayaka.
  • In the Treta Yuga, He was referred to as Mayureshwara, since he mounted a mayur or peacock. He had six arms and His complexion was white.
  • In Dwapara Yuga, he was called Gajanana, one with an elephant head. He had four arms, white in complexion, and mounted a mouse.
  • In the fourth and final Kali Yuga, He incarnates as a Human faced Deity, and is referred by the name Naramuga Vinayaka meaning Human faced Vinayaka. It is said that He takes this incarnation to relate more closely with the humans, since their connectivity with the Divine is least during this time frame.

Lord Ganesha Removes Negative Influences

Shattering coconuts on Ganesha Chaturthi helps you to remove your negative influences as this is considered as a spiritual technology that manifests in both your material and spiritual worlds. The coconut energetically absorbs your lower vibrations and when it is smashed, the energy holding back your progress is forcefully disseminated. When done on Lord Ganesha's birthday, i.e, Ganesha Chaturthi, at the Human Faced Ganesha Vortex the obstacle removing power is amplified manifold.

5 Faced Ganesha

Panchamukhi Ganesha (Paanch means five and Mukh means face) or the 5 faced Ganesha is the epitome of all energies or elements that are under His control. These five heads of Ganesh symbolize the five elements namely Water, Earth, Fire, Air and Ether. The fifth head is located above the four heads and it denotes the highest level of pure consciousness.

Ganesha is the embodiment of all potencies and has no superior above Him. He removes obstacles and hence, is first addressed in all the auspicious occasions, poojas and homas.

5 faced Ganesha is very powerful in eradicating all the negative energy and obstacles, without one's consciousness. Order your Special 5 faced Ganesha (never offered before by AstroVed) and place it facing east direction either in your home or office and experience those auspicious vibrations of spirituality, harmony and bliss. In simple words, the 5 headed Ganesha can work wonders for you.

Clay Ganesha

For Ganesha Chaturthi, clay idols of Lord Ganesha are made in large numbers or varying sizes, for the purpose of sacrificing. Clay Ganesha is the center of a powerful transformation ritual as the statue has the ability to absorb your karma into the clay medium. During the 3 days of prayer and pooja to the clay statue on your behalf, the Vedic Specialists, the priests, recite chants and invocations from the Vedas to bring life into the statue and guide the transference of your karma to the effigy.

The day after the completion of the Ganesha Chaturthi rituals, all the clay Ganeshas will be submerged and dissolved in the Coromandel Sea. As the clay image disintegrates, your karma is dissolved. It is a very effective ritual sometimes referred to as sympathetic magic. You can also sponsor clay Ganeshas and He will be named after you like Harry Ganesha, James Ganesha or Sophie Ganesha. Ganesha sacrifices Himself to redeem your karmas.
